Cops Quiz Man After Jockeys Die in Blaze

TWO young jockeys died and two other people are unaccounted for after an apparent arson attack. The victims, one of whom was named as promising Irish apprentice Jamie Kyne, perished in the early hours of yesterday. Police are treating the blaze as suspicious and a local man has been arrested.

TWO apprentice jockeys have been killed in a suspected arson attack at a block of flats and police fear there may be more victims. Two other jockeys were taken to hospital suffering from burns and smoke inhalation following the tragedy at the three-storey block near Malton, North Yorkshire, in the early hours of yesterday.

A man who was arrested following the death of 29-year-old Hayley Kyle was questioned on suspicion of murder before being released on bail last night. Police arrested the 29-year-old man following Hayley's death at her house in Blyth, Northumberland, in the early hours of Friday morning.

Tractor Trouble at Trials

AN out-of-control tractor yesterday rolled down a hill and caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to parked cars at a major horse trials where the Queen's granddaughter was competing. The driverless tractor hit at least two vehicles as it rumbled into a car park at the Burghley Horse Trials near Stamford, Lincs, an event which featured three-day event star Zara Phillips and a host of other leading riders.
