Summary

BRITAIN'S Colin Turkington claimed his third pole position of the British Touring Car Championship season after setting the pace at Snetterton. Turkington, racing in his Team RAC BMW 320si, produced a brilliant performance to edge out team-mate Tom Onslow-Cole by just under two tenths of a second at the Norfolk circuit and secure an all-BMW front row.

The Northern Irishman's time of one minute and 12.29 seconds proved to be the best of the day and, with Onslow-Cole also producing his best qualifying performance of the season, will give BMW hope of success going into rounds 19, 20 and 21.
