CARLISLE United made it seven games unbeaten and just two defeats in their last 16 League One outings as they brushed Leyton Orient aside with a commanding display. The Cumbrians were ahead inside 60 seconds when Lubomir Michalik hooked a loose ball into the danger area. Francois Zoko controlled it on his chest and took his time before poking it into the back of the net via the post.

The confidence flowed and one-touch football became the order of the day as Carlisle kept their visitors on the back foot. Tom Taiwo twice went close as he lurked on the edge of the area, and Matt Robson was given licence to get forward as he peppered the box with crosses.
