GEOFF COOK has refused to criticise Paul Collingwood's decision not to ask for permission to play for Durham in the Friends Provident Trophy games against Gloucestershire and Sussex.

Collingwood's decision appears a strange one given he has played just one innings since the start of April which lasted just 20 balls and brought him eight runs against the West Indies at Lord's.
