Summary
A SEPARATE UK Airprox Board report concluded that normal safety standards were compromised when a Tucano training plane and a harrier came within a whisker of each other mid-air, in Cumbria, on May 8. The two aircraft passed each other by just 15m (50ft) above the Hawes/Leyburn valley.
By the time both pilots saw each other, it was too late to carry out any avoiding action and both had to stick to their existing flight paths, which fortunately carried them past each other.See the full content of this document
