TWO investigations were launched into inmate injuries at Castington after the allegations were made by the former guards.

The tribunal heard how a review had been carried out by Chief Inspector of Prisons, Dame Anne Owers, who called for an urgent investigation into restraint techniques when she found inmates suffered a number of serious injuries at the hands of staff which managers had "no coherent explanation" for.
