Summary
I HAVE spoken before about councils with an exaggerated sense of their own importance, and the latest example comes from the East Riding of Yorkshire.
There, a fine upstanding council official threatened elderly residents of a sheltered housing scheme in Bridlington with jail for feeding the birds. Bird seed can, admittedly, be a nuisance, but this was taking it a bit too far.See the full content of this document
