NORTHERN ALLIANCE THE weather played havoc with the fixtures and Premier Division pacesetters Wark had their home game with Harraby Catholic Club washed out, allowing second-placed Walker Central to trim their lead to six points.
After losing three games on the trot Walker Central got back on track with a 4-1 victory over Shankhouse at Monkchester. James Armstrong put Shankhouse in front midway through the opening half but they were still heading for a third successive league defeat. John Campbell marked his return to the Central's ranks after a spell with West Allotment Celtic by scoring their equaliser after 35 minutes and just before the interval Paul Chapman claimed the home side's second goal.
